Material Introduction

Molybdenum-copper alloy is a kind of pseudo-alloy that is composed of two metals which are not mutually solid-solution. It consists of both the characteristics of molybdenum and copper, having high thermal conductivity, low adjusted thermal expansion coefficient, being non-magnetic, low content of gas, good vacuum resistance, good machinability and special high-temperature performance and so on.

CPC(Cu-MoCu-Cu) & CMC(Cu-Mo-Cu) are 3-layer composite materials, which is one Mo/MoCu layer between two Cu layer . They are better choice for high power component because of their lower thermal expansion coefficient and higher thermal conductivity far from WCu & MoCu.

Areas of Application

Molybdenum-copper alloy has a wide range of applications, mainly including: vacuum contacts, conductive cooling components, instrumentation components, rockets with lower using temperatures, high-temperature parts of missiles and the components of other weapons, such as extended-range artillery, etc.; the strengthening rib for solid seal, sliding friction, water-cooled electrode tip for temperature furnace, and the electrodes for electro machining.

 

CPC&CMC have excellent heat dissipation for IGBT and other component. They could be used for heatsink, lead frame, low expansion layer and mirochannel for PCB.
